Dinner with our local guests, then back to the Bloomrooms for a much needed night rest!

June 21st: Wake up early for a day trip to the Famous TajMahal. Private drivers will pick us up and start the journey out of the city to the famous The Taj Mahal meaning Crown of the Palace. This gorgeous ivory-white marble mausoleum sits on the south bank of the Yamuna river and was commissioned in 1632 by the emperor, to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

We will spend the afternoon touring and soaking it in. Late afternoon, head out to Jaipur. Checking in for two nights at the Relaxing Pearl Palace Heritage, featured in The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Providing idiosyncratic rooms with decor from around Rajasthan.

We will be welcomed by our local hosts and taken to our hotel for time to acclimate to the high elevation.

June 24th: Acclimation, rest exploring the city market a little for those who feel well. One could drive to one of the viewpoints but rest is advised as the elevation of the city is 3,425 meters.

June 25th: Sightseeing and learning about Open Hand’s project with the local economy.

June 26th: Pangong Lake (overnight stay)

June 27th: Leh shopping & last sightseeing or exploring the old city
